Springtime is finally here! The temperatures are slowly warming up, the days are getting longer, and spring plants are popping up all over. We're spending more time outdoors soaking up the sun. As we transition into spring and summer mode, we may not always be in the mood for a heavy meal. This means it's the smoothie's time to shine.
Smoothies are a great, delicious way to get a balanced nutritional intake in a small amount of time. At Eden Greens, we created a limited-release Smoothie Blend, which contains the micro greens most often used in smoothies. These are pea shoots, sunflowers, kale, and broccoli. This mild blend offers a smooth, fresh flavour and mixes well with all sorts of flavours. You can also use our Snack and Starter Blends for your concoctions. 1 naval orange (or 2 mandarins)
2 cups of frozen fruits (we used peaches, pineapples, and mango)
1/2 cup of plain or vanilla greek yogurt
1 cup of unsweetened coconut milk (or almond milk)
1 cup of Eden Greens Smoothie Blend
optional: add chia seeds or hemp hearts for more protein and fibre
Blend until smooth.
